Candidate Profile:
1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Relevant years of development/technical support experience.
3. Demonstrated experience in Perl/shell scripts or Ruby, and a sound understanding of web technologies.
4. Passion for coding (Java and/or C++).
5. Detailed knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system; prior experience with UNIX system administration is a plus.
6. Knowledge of Java based technologies. Understanding of XML, JS, CSS, HTML, and web application development is a definite plus.
7. Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
8. Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence.
9. Ability to retain composure under stressful conditions, communicates effectively with a wide array of individuals at Amazon, and gets the right things done.
